Music at Saint Rose of Lima

Music at Saint Rose of Lima:

St. Rose Elementary School offers a comprehensive Music Education program for grades Kindergarten through Six, which enlivens each student’s spiritual and emotional growth. Weekly classes meet during the school day and focus on talent and skill development. Basic concepts include singing, listening, instruments, rhythm, and creativity. Classroom Ukuleles, xylophones, recorders, and rhythm instruments reinforce literacy learning. 

To enrich classroom learning, concerts are scheduled in December and May offering all students performance opportunities.

At the end of grade three students may elect to join the school band program. Lessons and rehearsals are held weekly during school and result in performances at the school Christmas Concert, Talent Show, and Spring Concert. A York Deanery Combined Elementary Band Concert is presented every other year at York Catholic High School.

Music is truly a life-long experience, which plays an important role in the lives of our St. Rose children!
